I use MYOB Premier Version 8.
I recently had a computer malfunction requiring a full re-installation of Windows XP Pro. As I needed to keep MYOB operational, I copied the entire MYOB folders to another computer also running XP Pro and kept going.
When the Windows had been re-installed, I copied the entire MYOB folders from the temporary computer to the original computer.
When I attempt to access the MYOB data file from the original computer, I enter the password and immediately receive the message "Error 20000 was encountered when opening the M-Powered Services Centre data file."
Does anyone know why this should be so. I can of course install Premier on the original computer, however the MYOB disk is some distance away.
I have temporarily moved entire MYOB installations between computers for similar reason, and have always been successful.
